Ban on Calvinist Hand Communion -- South American Diocese Publishes Decree

Ban on Hand Communion by the Bishop of Oruro
Edit: just one more brief intrusion.  Adalante de Fe was an initiative begun in part by the scorned, faithful and long-suffering of Bishop Rogelio Livieres Plano of Ciudad del Este, whose meritorious  work for the salvation  of souls will continue.

(La Paz) On August 16, 2015  Bishop Krzysztof (Cristobal) Bialasik SVD of Oruro in Bolivia, gave published the prohibition of hand communion in his diocese. Only communion on the tongue is permitted.   Bishop Bialasik is responding to incidents where consecrated Hosts were received in hand Communion, and then taken away. It was "unbearable", said the Bishop,  that one does not know what happened to the body of Christ.
On January 6, 2016, Bishop Bialasik has now signed the appropriate canonical decree by which the prohibition Communion in the hand was formalized. Adelante la Fe published the "Decree for the Reception of Holy Communion on the Tongue."
The bishop  refers in this to the current ecclesiastical rules.  It nowhere provides that Communion in the hand is the proper manner of the reception of Holy Communion. According to teaching and canon law, oral Communion is the only proper form with which to receive the body of Christ. Hand Communion is something the bishop allowed "only as an indult" which can be granted on a case by case basis in an Episcopal Conference if it wishes. The responsibility lies solely with the competent diocesan bishop. Bishop Bialasik refers to the instruction Redemptoris Sacramentum of the Roman Congregation for Divine Worship of 1999, which expressly bans hand Communion identifying issues present, "when the danger of profanation."

Worthy reception, awareness of the real presence of Christ, prevent profanation

Decree: oral Communion instead Hand Communion

The Bishop of Oruro offered three reasons in the decree  pronounced by him banning Communion in the hand on August 16th: "to promote the worthy reception of the Eucharist", "to strengthen the faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ" and "avoid the profanation of the body of Christ."
The crucial point of the decree reads:
"We reaffirm for the Diocese of Oruro the obligation to abide by the universal law of the Church to receive Communion in the mouth, as the indult, to receive communion in the hand, does not apply."
The decree was published in the February issue of the Official Journal of the diocese.
Bishop Cristobal (Krzysztof) Bialasik was born in Zbąszynek (Neu-Bentschen) in 1958 and is a Divine Word Missionary (Steyler Missionar). In 1985 he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Henryk Cardinal Gulbinowicz from Wroclaw. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him in 2005 as Bishop of Oruro. In 2014 the highest statue in the world was inaugurated (without base) in his diocese. It is based on the miraculous image of Our Lady of Candelaria del Socavón of Oruro.
The Diocese of Oruro was established in 1924 by Pope Pius XI.  and is suffragan of the Archdiocese of Cochabamba.  It is 53,000 kilometers, larger than Lower Saxony [a little smaller in size than New York State], and has about 440,000 Catholics, 42 priests and 42 parishes.

Archdiocese of Luxemburg Signed the Gender Ideological "Charter of Diversity"

"Charta der Vielfalt" Luxemburg -- Even the Archdiocese is on board.
(Luxembourg) they call it "Diversity Charter", which is obviously what it represents: the promotion of "diversity". "Diversity" is one of those "magic words" for a socio-political "reorganization". This includes especially the "diversity of sexual orientation". But some chief pastors surrender naively and bow to the dictates of gender ideologues.

What ideas are behind the " Charte de la diversité "?

The "Charte de la diversité" was first published in France in 2004 and goes back to an initiative of the Institut Montaigne. The Institute is a liberal think tank founded in 2000,  which is funded by many of the largest public and private companies in France.  Its origin in  France is linked directly  with the republican and secular, anti-monarchist and anti-Catholic official doctrine of 1905.
In Germany in 2006, although the historical conditions are quite different, has adopted and published it literally as a "Charta der Vielfalt"   directly from major companies such as Daimler, German Bank, Deutsche Telekom, and Deutsche BP. The whole thing was done with the support of the Federal Government.Chancellor Angela Merkel who appeared personally as patroness.
The official goal of the Charter reads: "to establish equal opportunities for employees." However, the companies are committed not only to the "equal opportunities", but operate as engines of socio-political changes. The Charter states that the "German economy" could develop  "globalization" and "demographic change"  only if it promotes and utilizes the "diversity" (diversity) of employees.
Concretely, the fight against "discrimination" and the promotion of gender ideology and mass displacements of people through migration. For example, the French bank BNP Paribas is one of the signatories of the "Charte de la diversité. This past January 12 they held a meeting, which was devoted to gay-lesbian-bisexual-transsexual milieu of the company. Among the invited speakers was also the spokesman for the Gay Pride France .

"Pact of Steel" between the "strong powers"

The "Charter" has spread to the business level in several countries and coalesced in the most divergent  circles. Private companies, public companies and associations have pledged  with their signature under the "Charter"  to "overthrow stereotypes and platitudes," to combat "discrimination" and to create an "inclusive society".
Every year on May 12, an international Diversity Day is organized. In Luxembourg it will be committed in 2016 for the second time. It is a kind of hard with meetings, workshops, exhibitions, product launches and all will be advertised with its own website. The aim of the rally is summarized in the motto: "Working for diversity". They essay to "change the daily lives of citizens in their homes, influence their habits  and become part of their daily lives".
The objectives are a challenge. No more talk of freedom, self-determination, self-responsibility, free will, freedom of expression. Instead we a "Pact of Steel", so Corrispondenza Romana , instead there is a pact concluded between the "strong powers."  Large enterprises and government institutions join forces to influence the habits and behaviors of citizens. What is advertised as a voluntary step, it is feared, could go faster than thought to a ban for non-compliance and then coercion.

The Promoters

Population displacement and gender theory: cooperation between Caritas and "Charte de la diversité"

It is not surprising when among the promoters of the "Charter of Diversity" the European Commission finds the actual institutional powerhouse of the European Union, just like the Luxembourg family, Equality and Integration Ministry.
Promoters in Luxembourg are the already mentioned Deutsche Bank and all leading financial and investment institutions (PWC, RBC Investor & Treasury Services, IMS, etc.).
Among them is also Sodexo, the world leader in  things dealing with the "quality of life". The Sodexo operates in 80 countries and has 428,000 employees. "Catering, Community Care and Facility Management" are the services for industrial companies, government agencies, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics, retirement and nursing homes, schools, kindergartens, nurseries, prisons and military installations.  Sodexo also plays with the mass immigration business. In several countries, it is in charge of food, accommodation and management of asylum seekers.
The Promoter Committee of the 2nd Diversity Day also includes the American Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg . The American Chamber of Commerce is a private organization and describes himself as a "non-profit". It is present in each case as an association in Austria and Switzerland. The expansion was carried out in parallel with the Marshall Plan for Europe. As the socio-political ambitions show, it is not just about bringing together business people and philanthropic objectives.
The Luxembourg patron of the "Charter of Diversity" is the 43 year-old Family and Integration Minister, Corinne Cahen who is also simultaneously the president of the liberal  Democratic Party in the Grand Duchy, which has been forming since 2014 a coalition government with the Social Democrats and Greens.

Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Luxembourg has signed "Charte de la diversité"

It is not only the orthodox and non-orthodox Left and the Jewish Minister who eagerly collaborate, but it is also the Catholic Church in Luxembourg.  Since 2011,  Jean-Claude Hollerich is a Jesuit archbishop of the Grand Duchy.  Msgr. Hollerich studied at the Gregorian University in Rome, at the Jesuit College Sankt Georgen in Frankfurt and at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. At the University of Bonn, he received his doctorate and has lived and worked for several years in Japan.
In 2012 he opposed the abortion law debated by Parliament. The Greens in the country indicated his rejection of abortion as "archaic and extremist" and his defense of the right to life of unborn children as an "anachronistic world view".
At the Second Diversity Day there was a solemn ceremony in which all signatories of the Charter committed themselves publicly to promote "diversity" by concrete actions. Among the signatories in the category of "Company", the subcategory "foundations, NGOs"  can be found   "Catholic Church - Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Luxembourg". The archdiocese is managed as a company with more than 300 employees, which is committed in the collective agreement 'to respect diversity ".

Rejected resignation of Rome

It is thus hard to believe Archbishop Hollerich would not have understood what is represented by the "Charte de la diversité". This isn't the first time the archbishop has stumbled. It was he who signed a new agreement between Church and State almost a year ago. With the state is meant the governing Traffic Light Coalition,  since December 2013.  With this convention, religious instruction has disappeared from Luxembourg school programs and the public subsidies for the Church were reduced by 30 percent. Not even the eagerly encouraged commitment of the Church in social services and education were appreciated. In addition, the maintenance of the churches were left to the Church alone.
Archbishop Hollerich tried to whitewash  this affront to the Church with a quote from Pope Francis, "The Church of the poor is a richer Church." The Luxembourg Catholics understood only too well.  RTL reported "violent tensions". According to media reports,  Archbishop Hollerich wanted to fly the coop because of the disaster. As always, according to the RTL the 57 year old senior shepherd has already submitted his resignation to the Vatican  "for health reasons".
The application will have been rejected by Pope Francis, himself a Jesuit. Archbishop Hollerich was merely "granted" an Auxiliary Bishop. Luxembourg Catholics see in this "the danger that the difficulties are  only going to increase," said Corrispondenza Romana .

"The Last Prophesy" -- Antonio Socci Recognizes the Pope as Pope, but Steadfastly Continues His Criticism

(Rome) Antonio Socci, Rector of the School of Journalism of the public service broadcaster RAI at the University of Perugia, is among those journalists and publicists who to suffer even at the risk of personal disadvantages in directing criticism against the pontificate of Pope Francis. Despite all the assurances, observers like Antonio Socci do not believe that there is "a sheet" of difference between Benedict XVI. and Francis.

Among the most mentally tough critics of Pope Francis was the legal philosopher Mario Palmaro, who died in March 2014 at the early age of 45 years, so now it seems that Antonio Socci, albeit on a different level, will briefly take over his role.

In 2014  Socci called the validity of the Pope's election into question

In October 2014, he published the book "Non è Francesco" (He is not Francis. The Church in Great Storm).Therein, Socci went so far in his criticism of the pope as to challenge the validity of the his election in conclave on March 2013. It's an enduring position that has been ignored in fact in the Catholic world. While Socci  has run of the track some time in wanting to prove his alleged thesis, it was attacked by a canon lawyer.
Now Socci has introduced a new book with "La profezia finale" (The Last Prophecy. Letter to Pope Francis on the Church in a Time of War). Both books were published, of course, not by religious publishing companies, yet also not in some unknown "samizdat" publisher, but at Mondadori and Rizzoli, the two largest publishing houses in Italy. The discussion was open and even Socci's theses were given place, since they promise business in the book market.  Socci's book questioning the Pope's election was on the best seller list for weeks on the Apennine peninsula.

Antonio Socci: "It is not Francis", 2014

While Mario Palmaro was in the grip  of a fatal, incurable disease,  he still received a personal phone call from Pope Francis, Antonio Socci has been ignored by the Vatican. He has since been cut off in the second and third rows of the Catholic hierarchy,  A longtime employee of Radio Maria was shown therefore the door, because he attended a festival in which also Socci was invited. The criticism of the validity of the Pope's election has been considered "fundamentalist" and cost a lot of sympathy for Socci even from those who wish him well.

Socci corrects himself, and recognizes the validity of the election

In his new book "The Last Prophecy"   Socci takes a step back and gives up his 2014 formulated thesis. Socci sees the validity of the conclave and the papal election of 2013. The book is a long "letter" from a "son of the Church" to the Catholic Church leader, whom he addresses as "Father".   Socci made a daring approach in his Pope-criticism: it was direct, eloquent and pointed as before.
He reminded  Pope Francis that he is not only called "Holy Father", but also to behave  "like a father."  Francis should "watch less twitter and pay attention less to the number of followers  and the media flatterers galore circling around Santa Marta, ready to à la bowing Leonardo Di Caprio including ring kiss and always in the front row,  when it goes down, to celebrate every gesture and every sigh ".

Antonio Socci: "The Last Prophecy", 2016

Instead, should Francis "reflect more on what the Blessed Mother, Father Giussani, Don Tantardini, the Blessed Emmerich and Don Bosco have prophesied that the trumpets of the apocalypse will announce as never before that the world's end is near and the demons are dancing  to rhythm of the Tango on the dome of St. Peter  (Leo XIII. had seen this during Mass at the end of the 19th century  and was horrified)."
Soon,  three years after the conclave  Antonio Socci also recognizes Francis as the validly elected and therefore legitimate Pope. Socci has given up his argument about irregularities in the Pope's election. Irregularities complained of by  no conclave participants and not picked up by any canon lawyer.

Criticism of Francis remains justifiable, because "the situation of the Church is frightening"

"Socci is an honest Catholic," said the Vatican expert Matteo Matzuzzi to the daily newspaper Il Foglio . He takes  his faith and membership in the Catholic Church very seriously. He is questioning, struggling with himself, because his conscience demands it of him.
"He has just shown this honesty  that he has the courage to correct himself, but noted at the same time his criticism of the pontificate of Pope Francis." The question of the validity of the Pope's election is off the table. "The low affinity for the reigning pope,"  is something Socci  still holds as ever like a banner in front."Not because he wants to, but because he must," because, says Socci, "The position of the Church is frightening".
Socci directed the question to Pope Francis: "If today all the enemies of Catholicity you adore as the one who adapts the Church in the modern world, does not then mean that something is wrong in your message? Have you never asked?"
Socci quotes the Magisterium of the Popes to Benedict XVI. including a counciliar gap, and he quotes especially Fatima and the mysteries surrounding the phenomena of the past century and a half.  "To withdraw the Church on their behalf from the resistance (and witness) against falsehood and evil, means to sail on the 'banal grande'  [pun on Grand Canal in Venice] and to leave the boundless 'mystery of iniquity' to rule," says Socci.
According Matzuzzi, Soccis criticism gets "jammed" especially when it comes to evil, because none of the recent popes speak as frequently about the devil and evil as Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Accident?Argentinian heritage?

Socci and the "Bergoglio- (D) effect"

There is little prospect that Antonio Soccis book will be published in German translation [Or English for that matter.]. His form of papal criticism stops at the Alps. However, it is knocking with effect at the doors of the Vatican.
Whether Socci will be released from  quarantine by church hierarchs and Catholic organizations remains to be seen. In Italy it is at least more probable than it would appear in the German language. Socci is a powerful voice whose merit credit for  disclosing the "Bergoglio- (D) effect". These mainly include the "false friends" of the Pope. Socci documented this in early 2014 on the basis of anti-clerical Radical Party of Italy of Marco Panella and the former European Commissar Emma Bonino. The Radicals are the abortion, divorce, euthanasia, homo- and gender party par excellence. The rejection and combating of the Catholic Church is its defining feature. . Under John Paul II  Pannella and Bonino stood on St. Peter's Square and shouted: "Wojtyla go home." Under Benedict XVI .: "No Taliban, No Vatican". Under Francis they stand there and shout "Viva il Papa. We radicals love you."
Socci repeatedly directs the question to Francis, if he had never asked himself why this is so.

Bishop Refuses to Apologize for Doing His Job

[Courageous Priest] In my recent Pastoral Letter, I wrote that the Alberta Government Gender Guidelines issued on January 13 show no evidence of consultation with, or sensitivity to, the Catholic community. They breathe pure secularism. This approach and directive smack of the madness of relativism and the forceful imposition of a particular narrow-minded anti-Catholic ideology.

If you are reading this piece in the hopes of discovering an apology and/or a retraction, you might as well stop reading right now. That’s simply not going to happen.

I have received considerable support for what I said and the way in which I said it. Nevertheless, there were a few “nay-sayers” some have called for my resignation, others have resorted to unpublishable name calling, and of course, there were several references to the famous catch-all these days, “Who are you to judge?” The later suggesting that I was espousing a teaching contrary to the openness of Pope Francis.

Family Day 2016 on Italy HUGE Success

Edit: despite the indifference of the Vatican, if not outright hostility, this event in defense of the family is turning out to be an enormous success which is sure to dismay those forces of intransigent degeneracy.  Let the adocates of gender ideology in this papacy tremble!

Organizers and some in the Catholic media are reporting two million participating families, people, who do not want the "gay marriage" bill set to debate this week.

Only "Administrative Decision" on Medjugorje -- Cardinal Puljics Recommendation to the Pope

(Rome) Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Archbishop of Sarajevo and member of the Pontifical Commission of Inquiry, which is mandated to study the phenomenon of Medjugorje, said to have "recommended" to the pope to come to a decision on Medjugorje only on "administrative" aspects, but not on the "phenomena" and messages. [The messages are obviously heretical, if words can mean anything at all.]
The Virgin Mary is alleged to have regularly appeared at a parish of Medjugorje for the past 35 years to six "seers", which is  under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Mostar. Bishop Ratko Peric, like his predecessor Pavao Zanic (to 1993), regarded the Medjugorje phenomenon with great skepticism.  Bishop Zanic declared as competent ecclesiastical authority that the alleged apparitions were "not supernatural" in character ( non constat de supernaturalitate ). This decision was supported and confirmed in 1991 by the Yugoslav Bishops' Conference  and still applies today.
People have "the right to go to Medjugorje to pray and do penance," explained Cardinal Puljic in December for the Turkish state news agency Anadolu Agency (AA). Medjugorje "is one of the largest confessional benches, not only the Balkans, but in all of Europe, and that has to be somehow taken into account when deciding which one will meet".
Cardinal Puljic therefore recommended to the Pope a decision to "solely" address the "administrative aspects", responding in  "no way to the question of appearances." "When it comes to visions and messages, which are still under consideration,  the Church does not move quickly.  The Church does not hurry, but always arrives at a conclusion. I'm not worried about the attitude of the Holy Father or those of the CDF. "
Medjugorje
Concerning  the pilgrims, the Cardinal, that which has already been said  applies: "It is important that the people who go to Medjugorje, pray for the strengthening of their faith and are comforted in returning home."

"Solomonic" or "Educational" solution?

Behind the scenes there has been a tug of war for years in the Vatican   around Medjugorje. The Vatican became increasingly cautious, while some Church officials, including the Archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Schönborn, are convinced of the authenticity of the phenomenon. [Not exactly a vote of confidence.] Since the 80s, however, there has been a negative decision on  Medjugorje. Since then, it is argued by proponents that Rome had not yet decided. A decision of Rome, however, not canonically necessary to be  provided. Among the supporters  of Medjugorje, there is the claim that Pope John Paul II. and the then faith Prefect of the CDF, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger have commented positively about Medjugorje, which has been denied in writing by Cardinal Ratzinger 1998.
In 2009 the CDF confirmed the jurisdiction of the Bosnian bishops and thus the negative decision of 1991.
In 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. finally established a Vatican commission of inquiry to examine the phenomenon of Medjugorje and bring about the much-discussed decision in Rome. The signals emanating  from the Commission  were negative in the matter. At the turn of 2012, the final   report  was placed in front of the Pope.
Since then,  a decision has been delayed by some church circles, helped along by the unexpected resignation of Benedict XVI. The Commission of Inquiry had completed its work, yet remained  for another two years in office until 2014.
A postponement is argued for since it is concerned that a negative decision could unsettle many believers and shake in their faith. In fact, those in the know confirm that tension is very high among Medjugorje. The danger of divisions within the Bosnian Franciscans makes the regular rounds.  An argument  from experience- which is not taken lightly in Rome,  confirms the reluctance of Pope Francis. Francis has expressed himself repeatedly against "an addiction to apparitions and messages."
On 6 June 2015, the Pope had himself expressed the view of an early decision on the return flight from Sarajevo.  But nothing has happened since then. At the end of June, Andrea Tornielli, the  papal  household vaticanist said that a decision would wait until "after the summer break", perhaps would even be  given "at the Synod of Bishops".
An "administrative" solution has presented itself after months. A decree lays on the desk of the pope which has been formulated since the spring of 2015. Medjugorje is recognized as a place of prayer, entrusted to the pastoral care of the Franciscan Order, but is subordinated to the jurisdiction and supervision of Rome. There will be no light  construction because it interferes with the rights of the Mostar diocese. Public appearances of the "seers" are also suppressed or completely prevented. As far as  a non-decision on the "apparitions" and "messages"  it is argued that the phenomenon is still ongoing and therefore, to make a final judgment prematurely was indeed impossible.   There is talk in Rome  of a "Solomonic" or "educational" solution.

Pope Invites Evil Dominican Head of "Gay Lobby" to Secret Meeting

(Rome) Bishop José Raúl Vera López, Dominican and Diocesan Bishop of Saltillo in Mexico, is held to be the "bishop of the gay lobby" in the Catholic Church. The Liberation Theology "inspired" chief shepherd has been known in recent years primarily for his vociferous defense of homosexuality. On the day before the opening of the Synod of Bishops in 2015 on the family,  Raul Vera was a "special guest" at a meeting of a "Catholic Gay Network" in Rome. Next February, he will be one of a small circle of selected persons with whom Pope Francis meets during his Mexico visit in secret.

For Aberrosexuals: "You are our savior"

When homo-meeting in Rome Bishop Raul Vera said to aberrosexuals: "You are our savior." He continued: "Who are small but well-organized, to defeat the monsters, and you are well organized and will conquer." That was considered just "little infidelity" by many. However, there was no Apostolic Visitor seen by Bishop Raul Vera in Saltillo, let alone being deprived of his office, as compared that has been issued to Opus Dei  bishops, including Bishop Livieres Plano of Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. [And +Finn of Kansas] The Mexican media have already been writing since 2011 about Raul Vera: "People think that the bishop is not a Catholic."
The  journalist Emiliano Ruiz Parra wrote benevolently about him: "The Bishop of Saltillo is convinced that there is no salvation in heaven without liberation on earth. (...) He defends the Central American migrants, the miners, the homosexuals, the indigenous people, sex workers, the families of the disappeared in the Civil War. "  It pleased him to be "different".
In an interview with El Pais, Bishop Raul Vera told proudly what he said to a mother who had come to him to complain to him of her sorrow that her son was gay: "You have to condemn yourself, because your son has become that way in your belly. If he became the way he is, then it was in your stomach."
To have for each battle of the political left and let the unborn child in the lurch: Bishop Raul Vera

Catholic teaching on homosexuality "insane"

"Homophobic", is what the bishop says of all who reject homosexuality, who are "insane". Thus the bishop describes the Catholic doctrine and Catholics as "insane", are what protesting Catholics write in their letters to Rome.
In fact, Raul Vera made fun in 2013 at the 33rd Congress of Liberation Theology in Madrid  of what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says about homosexuality. The Congress was supported by organizations representing abortion and gender ideology. For Raul Vera it's no problem. By 2011, the bishop called for the legalization of abortion in Mexico and started a collaboration with abortion organizations. For this he has been proposed for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2012 "because of his struggle for human rights."
For his 25th anniversary, Bishop Raul Vera invited all leaders of Marxist liberation Theology, from Gustavo Gutierrez to Jon Sobrino. In 2011 he was warned by the Vatican because of his support for homosexual groups, which has changed nothing.
Following the example of the Bishop other priests in Saltillo talk in the sense of "gay lobby." Don Pedro Pantoja, director of the Casa del Migrante of Saltillo, is just one of them. In 2014 he told the press: "The Church can not reject the adoption rights for homosexuals out of respect for diversity."
"Padre Gofo" (left) in strange costume, Bishop Raul Vera (right)

"Padre Gofo" and Bishop Raul Vera

Adolfo Huerta Aleman, popularly known as "Padre Gofo", is a priest of the Diocese of Saltillo, who has denied the existence of God and publicly boasted to entertain "frequent and alternating sexual relations". Nevertheless, Bishop Raul Vera only suspended him "temporarily" until July 2013, only after the Congregation for the Clergy in Rome had become involved.
Criticism of Pope Benedict XVI.  appearing in the church newspaper of Saltillo were de rigeur.  Raul Vera has described himself  as a "controversial bishop". From a part of his diocese, he is rejected as a "liberal" who "twists the gospel" and "betrays the Catholic Church".

The closed and the open doors of Pope Francis

The late Bishop Livieres Plano left a flourishing diocese. His diocese, with just one-tenth of the Catholics of Paraguay, had three times as many seminarians as all other dioceses together. Which is a - not only - Latin American theme of vocations - and the shortage of priests. Argentina native went to Rome in September 2014  and  was deposed during his absence from his diocese by Pope Francis. In Ciudad del Este, it is said that he was downright "lured" to Rome, because once there the bishop was simply allowed to stand before closed doors. The reason for the dismissal was given that he had disrupted the community of the Paraguayan Bishops. Despite his repeated entreaties, Pope Francis refused a discussion.
Quite different is the case Saltillo.  Bishop Raul Vera is invited for next February by Pope Francis, where during a pastoral visit to Mexico,  he will meet privately, wrote InfoVaticana.  To be precise, it is a semi-private meeting at which only a small group of selected journalists and bishops will participate, a total of 20 people. And Bishop Raul Vera will be one of the elect.

Pope Downgrades the Church's Message on Bioethics

Edit: this came in the e-mail with the observation from a reader that the pope is outrageous to say this.  I'm sure we've all heard this sort of thing from the elderly Call to Action lady, the Sinsenawa Dominican who serves as an escort at an abortuary or a fly by night Nouvelle Theologian.  Surely, the Church has a privileged voice in this field and to suggest otherwise is monstrous. What of the unborn, the handicapped, the elderly and most fragile members of society?    Francis doesn't feel the same when it comes to the myth of man-made global warming, does he?

Here's something from Vatican Downslider:
“Everyone is aware of how sensitive the Church is to ethical issues but perhaps it is not clear to everyone that the Church does not lay claim to a privileged voice in this field…,” Pope Francis said in a meeting with the Italian Committee for Bioethics today, highlighting the risk of utility and profit being the only reference points for developments in science and biological and medical technologies. He urged this advisory body of the Italian government, headed by Francesco Paolo Casavola, a Catholic, to look further into environmental degradation, “disability and the marginalisation of vulnerable individuals”. He asked them in other words to tackle the challenge of countering today’s “throwaway culture” which “takes on many forms, including treating human embryos as disposable material, as well as sick and elderly people approaching the end”. The Pope also asked them to harmonise standards and norms in the biological and medical fields.
Just monstrous:

Bioethics, established by the President of the Council for Ministers in Italy 25 years ago,” Francis said. “Everyone is aware of how sensitive the Church is to ethical issues but perhaps it is not clear to everyone that the Church does not lay claim to a privileged voice in this field; in fact it is a source of great satisfaction for the Church when civic responsibility at different levels is able to reflect, discern and act according to a free and open way of thinking and inspired by integral human and social values. This mature civic responsibility is a sign that the seed of the Gospel – which has been revealed and entrusted to the Church – has produced fruits, successfully fostering the search for truth and good in complex human and ethical questions”

"Deeply Disturbing" --- On March 19th The Post-Synodal Letter About the Family Appears

Archbishop Paglia in Portugal:  Pope Francis Will Publish the Post-Synodal
Letter in March

Edit: Rorate is saying that it will be Tucho Fernandez who writes the letter.

(Rome) The post-synodal letter to the Synod of Bishops on the Family will be published in March. The chairman of the Pontifical Council for the Family, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, told the Portuguese news agency Agencia Ecclesia.

The Agency wrote:
"The information was reported by Agencia Ecclesia, quoting the President of the Pontifical Family Council, Don Vincenzo Paglia, during the training days scheduled for priests which taking place until Thursday in the southern ecclesiastical province in Albufeira in the Algarve."

Initially it was said that the post-synodal letter would appear in February. The letter will be eagerly awaited. Since Pope Francis has creaated considerable tension in the Church when announcing the double-Synod of Bishops on the Family in 2013. A fundamental dispute about the indissolubility of marriage and the Catholic moral teaching has broken out. It is about the admission of remarried divorcees to the sacraments, and thus to the de facto recognition of a second marriage, and the acceptance of homosexuality. Both points are being promoted by the liberal group in the Church. The spokesman for the divorced and remarried is Cardinal Walter Kasper. One of the spokesmen for the recognition of homosexuality is curia Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia.

The Synod of Bishops ended in October 2015 with a laborious compromise which just avoided a break in the Church. The Kasperians were supported by Pope Francis suffered a defeat, but they want to still want to twist by way of "interpretation" and thanks to support from the Pope, into a victory.

The draft "puts the natural law in question"

The Vatican expert Edward Pentin of the National Catholic Register reported today that the letter will be unveiled to the public on March 19, on the feast of St. Joseph and the third anniversary of the inauguration of Pope Francis.

According Pentin's "well informed sources" Archbishop Victor Manuel Fernandez, the ghostwriter of Pope Francis and rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, should be the principal author of the letter. Fernandez is one of the closest confidants of Pope Francis. He even appointed him as Archbishop of Buenos Aires Rector despite great resistance by the competent Roman Congregation for Education. When Pope Francis was elected, he let those feel his wrath, who had at the time opposed the appointment of Fernandez, while he raised Fernandez to Titular Archbishop and personally appointed him as a votinng member of the Synod of Bishops.

A moral theologian, says Pentin, has seen the draft and is "deeply disturbed" about it. The draft "puts the natural law in question".
